On February 3rd afternoon (13:30-18:15), we are organizing a half-day tutorial @ Delft (Mooijzaal 22.F005) on key concepts in many-body dynamics, how to probe them, and how what do these things have to do with the recent Google results.
Title: "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Many-Body Dynamics*"
Quantum theorists (and even some experimentalists) throw around words like many-body localization, quantum chaos, scrambling, OTOCs, time-crystals, scarring, eigenstate thermalization hypothesis, to describe interesting features of many-body time dynamics. But what do these concepts mean, theoretically or phenomenologically, how are they observed, and why are these concepts interesting in the first place? As part of the Quantum Limits https://qutech.nl/quantumlimits/ projecthttps://qutech.nl/quantumlimits/, the goal of this meeting is to foster connections between Delft and Leiden, build a shared language on questions of thermalization, equilibration and chaos, and kick-off future regular discussions exploring research questions that push towards the time quantum limit.

EXTRA ADDITION: POSTER SESSION
Given the large interest and to further stimulate discussions among all participants, we are adding a poster session to the half-day tutorial. This is an opportunity for PhDs and postdocs to present experimental or theoretical work on explorations of many-body dynamics during the borrel at the end of the day. Please align with your PI whether he/she believes presenting a poster is suitable for this event. We have room for 10 posters, please email F.Machado@tudelft.nlmailto:F.Machado@tudelft.nl with a title, abstract and authorlist of your poster (plus arxiv.org link if available) before Jan. 16 (for the health of my inbox, please use the email subject "Half-day poster"). In case of too many submissions, we will have to, unfortunately, select only 10 poster submissions. Confirmation will be sent to you by Jan. 19. The posters should be setup at 12h30, i.e. 1 hour before the first talk in the hallway near the Mooij zaal. Boards will be provided.
