Quantum Limits Logo Design Contest – Call for Submissions
Dear colleagues,
We are excited to launch a design contest to create the official logo for the Quantum Limits programme, a ten-year collaboration between QuTech and the Department of Quantum Nanoscience at TU Delft, and the Leiden Institute of Physics of Leiden University.
This logo will represent our shared identity as we investigate the fundamental limits of quantum mechanics. More information about the project can be found here: https://qutech.nl/quantumlimits/.
Who can participate: All students, researchers, staff, and affiliates of the participating institutes are invited to submit designs.
What to submit:
* A logo concept that includes “Quantum Limits” .
* Up to 3 entries per person.
* A short description of the idea behind your design (max 50 words).
* Preferred formats: .ai or .eps (300 dpi) for high-resolution vector graphics.
Optional design guidance:
* You may use colour palettes from the QuTech, LION and QN logos (colour codes available on request).
* AI-assisted design is allowed.
Prize: €200 dinner cheque and a t-shirt featuring the final logo.
Deadline: Please submit your design(s) by 30 January 2026
Submission instructions: Send entries to SummitQL(a)tudelft.nl<mailto:SummitQL@tudelft.nl>
Selection process:
A committee drawn from the consortium leadership will review the submitted designs. All submissions will be sent to the committee anonymously. The logo evaluation criteria include:
* Relevance to the Quantum Limits mission
* Simplicity and scalability (usable on a website, poster, print)
* Visual distinctiveness and clarity
We look forward to seeing your creative ideas and selecting a logo that reflects the ambition and spirit of the Quantum Limits project.
Kind regards,
Nina Hefele
Dear all,
The second meeting along the large mass axis of Quantum Limits will take place March 3 in Delft, organised by Massimiliano Rossi and Gary Steele. We will start around 10 and wrap up with a borrel from 16u onwards.
Please join us and sign up here (deadline February 6th): https://forms.gle/GcUW7kbmdt7EVrs19
The programme will be a mix of current work by PhD/PD researchers and some tutorial style talks.
See you there!
Best,
Bas

Subject: Half-day Tutorial: "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Many-Body Dynamics*" -- February 3 Afternoon
[PLEASE SHARE WITH THOSE INTERESTED]
Hi everyone,
On February 3rd afternoon (13:30-18:15), we are organizing a half-day tutorial @ Delft (Mooijzaal 22.F005) on key concepts in many-body dynamics, how to probe them, and how what do these things have to do with the recent Google results.
Title: "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Many-Body Dynamics*"
Quantum theorists (and even some experimentalists) throw around words like many-body localization, quantum chaos, scrambling, OTOCs, time-crystals, scarring, eigenstate thermalization hypothesis, to describe interesting features of many-body time dynamics. But what do these concepts mean, theoretically or phenomenologically, how are they observed, and why are these concepts interesting in the first place? As part of the Quantum Limits <https://qutech.nl/quantumlimits/> project<https://qutech.nl/quantumlimits/>, the goal of this meeting is to foster connections between Delft and Leiden, build a shared language on questions of thermalization, equilibration and chaos, and kick-off future regular discussions exploring research questions that push towards the time quantum limit.
*But Were Afraid to Ask
Click here to register and see the program <https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1bkWIMG_8i0rdAV6XuKKhXSfvy-T_JvzetbN…>
If you are planning to attend, please register so we can make sure to get enough (yet not too much) snacks and drinks.
Hope to see you there!
Best,
Francisco, Barbara, and Koenraad
EXTRA ADDITION: POSTER SESSION
Given the large interest and to further stimulate discussions among all participants, we are adding a poster session to the half-day tutorial. This is an opportunity for PhDs and postdocs to present experimental or theoretical work on explorations of many-body dynamics during the borrel at the end of the day. Please align with your PI whether he/she believes presenting a poster is suitable for this event.
We have room for 10 posters, please email F.Machado(a)tudelft.nl<mailto:F.Machado@tudelft.nl> with a title, abstract and authorlist of your poster (plus arxiv.org link if available) before Jan. 16 (for the health of my inbox, please use the email subject "Half-day poster"). In case of too many submissions, we will have to, unfortunately, select only 10 poster submissions. Confirmation will be sent to you by Jan. 19.
The posters should be setup at 12h30, i.e. 1 hour before the first talk in the hallway near the Mooij zaal. Boards will be provided.
Moreover, the talks can also be attended via a Teams link (physical registration is limited to 90 people) through this link<https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/33052871902846?p=J5u1U5pc6a0yrdyn47>.
Thank you for your participation and interest,
The organizing team (Francisco, Barbara, and Koenraad)
